worlds fastest computer and Sebs flip book

The fastest computer in the world hails from Japan, what a surprise. I feel like the Japanese are light years a head of us technology wise. I bet kids over there are already nintendo 3-D. Built by Fujitsu, the "K Computer" performs over eight quadrillion calculations per second in Japans Institute of Physical and Chemical Research. The K Computer hosts 68,544 processors, with each one holding eight cores.  That’s a total of 548,352 cores; which uses up to 9.89 megawatts of power, same amount that powers about 10,000 homes in a year.

SEBASTIAN BELFIORE- creative in the technology you created and using the whole page came to your advantage, until you fell off at the end and kept it simple. This flip has a lot potential if worked on a little.

stanford graduation and fMRI

Steve Jobs was a powerful man with powerful stories of his life. The ups and downs he faced inspired me. I always follow my heart and try to live every day to the fullest, however that has not helped me discover the major i want to pursue. Maybe I should go to Berkely and have someone check out my brain and decide. Steve Jobs accomplishments with Apple and the other companies he founded is outstanding, and its incredible to learn how advanced we have become in one lifetime. With the use of the new technologies doctors were able to elongate his life a little longer, until the cancer returned.

On the other hand i think it is a scary thought for a machine to extract ones thoughts, dreams, or memories. In the future people will be stealing ideas from others right out of their head before the idea even gets to paper. Im afraid for the future, but i have to live in the now and enjoy my time while i have it.

Singing in the Rain

The Good Morning "Singing in the Rain" has components in which Clockwork Orange does not. Besides the obvious rainfall in Good Morning, there is a happier environment. More people are involved in the creation of the song, but in Clockwork Orange only Alex sings. There is dancing and laughing in a positive mood. Clockwork Orange brings the drugs and violence to the song or milk and drugs. I favor the Clockwork Orange version because of the element of surprise and it seems more fun to break everything in a house and flee the scene.

Still frame animation

My favorite of all the still frame animations is the hand drawn art. I like the idea of drawing something than having that object come to life. The example here shows drawings on a wipe off board that allows us to give a negative and positive affect to the picture, erase and recreate art with our fingers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u46eaeAfeqw

An actual food fight...classic. The still frame animation or stop motion allows to move things in ways unimaginable. I love food, so when i saw the interaction of food i had to post it. Im not as interested in the story of the food fight, but the thought that food came to life. It would be a cooler video if the food fought the people because they did not want to be eaten.

How could i leave out our animal friends. I always thought, if my dog could talk what would he say. Well, its funnier if we put words in there mouth. This dog does a quick Orson Welles impersonation worth watching. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzWpvHFG6_8&feature=relmfu
